Customization Services

If your budget is very limited, you can get select a pre-made template to build your website and have it customized.

Here are some of typical changes made to templates to customize them:

• Integrating your logo into the design.
• Changing the navigation links text
• Altering the color scheme
• Inserting your own image or changing the images to better match your company's theme.
• Adding headings
• Moving the various design blocks around

You can choose and purchase a template from our collections or we can customize a template you have found elsewhere.

Most templates you purchase come in one of three formats:

• Single graphics design image (PSD) that has to be sliced up and converted into HTML pages (HTML) that can be published on the web.
• Single graphics design image (PSD) and a single page layout (HTML) that has already been converted into an HTML page but may need to be recoded make the HTML cross-browser compatible.
• Single page layout in HTML with no graphics design image to work with.

Customization Steps

The first thing we do is change any of the visual elements, such as color scheme, header images and logo. If there is a PSD file, we'll use that to customize the template.

We produce one or more page layouts based on the original design. If your template came with HTML coding already done, we'll check the coding to ensure that your pages are cross-browser friendly. If they are not, you can have us recode your pages so they are.

As an example, we can produce a layout for the home page, a one column spread, two column spread and so on. Once the graphics have been customized, we can pretty much produce as many spinoff layouts as you need for your site.

An alternative you can choose is to have us set your template up on a web page editor that will allow you to add your content and images through a web based editing system called a content manager. The content manager makes it possible for you to edit your website with little or no knowledge of HTML.

Once the layouts are ready, you can easily add your content and images to complete your website or you have us insert your content for you. You simply provide us with your content and images and we do the rest. We have set up sites with just a few pages and sites with hundreds of pages.

Design Graphics Changes

• Simple logo insertion with no graphics work required: $40
• Integration of an existing logo into a background image: $60
• Swapping out header graphics with new graphics that you supply: $125
• Change overall color scheme, with no graphics design work: $60

• Modification of slogans in a flash presentation: $75

Custom HTML Coding

• Custom HTML coding from design graphic layout: $125
• Custom HTML layout spinoffs from original HTML page: $60

• Conversion of existing HTML coding to browser friendly HTML coding: $125

Content Insertion & Installation

• Insertion of content into existing layouts per page (Up to 350 words per page): $35
• Installation of web site on your hosting service: $50
• Licensing/Installation of web site content management system (price varies with choice of system) on your hosting service: $150 - $250

Note: All other work is billed in half hour increments at $125 per hour

Each installment is due and payable when you order the customization work.
