About Alpha Net Developers

Alpha Net Developers began as a partnership between Darin Swan and Sharlee Plett in late 2000 as a natural result of working together on a large-scale programming project on an EFT (automatic debit payments) Processing Gateway. When the project came to a close, they continued to work together, eventually incorporating in mid 2002.

The combination of Sharlee's extensive background in accounting, business consulting and computerized business systems and Darin's in-depth knowledge of multiple programming languages and information systems technologies creates a highly effective blend of skills and experience. Their shared pool of knowledge is comprehensive, covering a broad base of business models. Both partners have worked on hundreds of different projects for small to medium-sized businesses over the last two decades from their respective specialties.

Company History

The first project undertaken by the newly formed Alpha Net Developers team was to develop a comprehensive feasibility study and business plan, proof of concept (business model) and prototypes for a unique line of products and services to enable non-technical users to easily and rapidly build top-notch websites with sophisticated communications, content and interactive elements.

Thousands of hours of custom programming and extensive research went into the development of the project prototypes and business plan, including comprehensive studies of Internet business strategies and business models, emerging technologies, marketing methods and interactive applications already on the market.

The project was completed on-schedule and to specification in just under a year. When the client chose not to move forward on the business plan, Alpha Net Developers was able to acquire the project assets, prototypes and intellectual properties.

Since then, Alpha Net Developers has been working to develop and integrate this rich set of tools and resources into a series of product lines and resource centers to service the Internet and networking needs of small businesses. Our goal is to develop a pathway that will service the needs of a growing business all along the way.

The Founding Partners

Darin Swan

Darin has a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Riverside. He has been working in the computer programming and systems field since 1984 as a developer, database and web programmer and systems administrator.

Sharlee Plett

Sharlee has been working in the accounting and business management field since 1974 and co-owns 20/20 Financial Services, Inc. Since 1988, Sharlee has focused on systems analysis and design with emphasis on computerized applications. Sharlee is an author and has written numerous business plans, technical manuals and hundreds of articles about the Internet and small business.
