Website Design & Development Project - RipTideSystems.com
Project Name: RipTideSystems.com
Launch Date: November 2007
Project Type: Website Design & Graphics Work

RipTideSystems.com is an informational site for existing and potential clients of RipTide Systems, a network services and solutions company based in Temecula, California.  Dave and Vickie Walker, the owners of RipTideSystems.com, wanted a very professional “technology” look for their site.  We used RipTide’s existing logo and designed the site around it.

Pictures can say so much with any words and in RipTide’s case, high quality images of cutting edge technology hardware, the logos of their partner software companies and photographs of their office immediately and visually convey the high level of professionalism of the company.  We also created an award badge for the home page of the site to commemorate their nomination as Small Business of the Year in 2007 in the Temecula area.

Website Design & Development Project - NorthPoleStation.com
Project Name: NorthPoleStation.com
Launch Date: November 2007
Project Type: Website Design & Graphics Work

NorthPoleStation.com is one of our own websites that has been in the works for some time.  The site offers printable Christmas stationary (yes, it is misspelled - I’ll explain later) such as greeting cards, gift tags, letters, and a Letters from Santa Claus Kit.

This is a seasonal site and we wanted it to have a happy “Christmassy” feel to it.  Soft blues, snow, custom graphics of Santa’s village make this a somewhat “childish” and friendly friendly site.  Because it displays so many graphics we kept the design very, very simple.

We decided to try out another payment processing system on this site, in this case, PayDotCom.com, which offers payment processing using paypal with a built-in affilate system.  We programmed a custom digital delivery system to work with the PayDotCom.com system.  After the visitor makes their purchase through PayPal and PayDotCom, a page is automatically created for their purchase that lists all of their download files.  The files are not accessible through any page but the download page and it can only be accessed using a valid PayPal transaction number.  The site administrator can review all of the purchases, regenerate the download link if the visitor loses their link or PayDotCom fails to complete the transaction.

All of the stationary on the site was custom designed by our graphics designer and set up as PDF and editable word files depending on the type of stationary.

This site was designed to attract search engine traffic using popular keywords for Christmas stationary.  That’s why stationary is misspelled.  The correct spelling for writing materials is stationery but the majority of Internet visitors misspell it.  That’s what they search for so that’s how we had to spell it.  To make a long story short, the entire site was written from the ground up to match keywords obtained from the Google Keyword Suggestion tool.

All the work paid off handsomely.  The site was launched on November 9th, 2007.  Within 2 days it was fully indexed by Google.com and within the week appearing on the first page of search results of the various keywords it was designed for.  By week two it was getting 1,000 visitors a day, with over 80% coming from Google.com, peaking at 2,300 visitors on December 24th.  Visitors purchased kits right up until Christmas Day, with one visitor purchasing a kit the day after Christmas.

LestersKaraoke.com

Project Name: LestersKaraoke.com
Launch Date: September 2004
Project Type: Design, Development & Programming

LestersKaraoke.com showcases the Karaoke DJ services of Lester Coultas.  Lester had a small website that was not getting the kind of response he wanted.  He wanted to be able to publish photos from his Karaoke shows and contests, publish his enormous catalog of Karaoke tunes, and promote his show locations around town.

With the exception of the DJ rabbit, we designed all of the site graphics, including the T.V. viewer. We also created a custom import/export system to pull his song lists from his digital library and print out his online catalog.
